Since it was so hot today, I didn't get to garden chores until almost dusk. Even then I was sweating up a storm while pulling out the last of the pole beans, sigh.

But the bats were out. Flying in wobbly arcs across the summer sky, they were dark outlines against high clouds, gulping insects as they swooped down low over the gardens.

That alone made the sweat in the dusky dark worth it. I even got a hanging flower basket done, and the plants (though not the coconut fiber liner) to redo the other one.

This time of year, early morning and dusk are my favorite times of the day. Otherwise, as long as there's an a/c going somewhere, I'm good.

Oh, and I edited several chapters of my girl book, so all's well on the writing front, lol.

Tomorrow, I go back into the old job and fill out papers, and get my schedule.
