Christine's New Chapter

The YA book is done. Fourth edit was the one that got things right. It feels solid, which is new to me. I'm happy with it, but we'll see how it does with my readers.

I took a break from the paranormal, so now I have to go back to that one. Sigh. 5am comes early now...

On the reading side, I picked up a book called The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf, pubbed by Mira Books in 2009. What a wonderful, lyrical, terrible tale and how beautifully she told it. I got it at a used bookstore, a blessing and a curse as I'd probably never have picked it up elsewhere, but she doesn't get any royalties from my purchase (boo). I devoured the entire book yesterday and was drained by the end. It breaks all sorts of "rules" and does it very well.

I'm trying to broaden my reading. Candy is all very well and good, but if you never feed yourself meat and vegetables, how will you continue to grow and stay healthy? The Weight of Silence was both meat and vegetables...

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
