In a big house reversal, oldest son was gone by 6:15AM to catch the bus to make his 8am psych class for college. Younger son slept in until 9am.

Of course, usually oldest son isn't awake until noon...his earliest class all year has been 11am so that's still not much of a stretch. But for him to get up at 5:30 is huge...

Today I had youngest scrape at the peeling paint on the eaves of the house, to hopefully speed the painters on their way when they do their thing the second week of July. Also to have him do some physical labor. It's good for kids, I hear.

He's also cleaning his room. Managed to give ten XBox games away to a Game Exchange place - they said they'd pay him a buck for all ten, as that's all they were worth, but I wasn't having the games come back to the house. And kid's not 18 yet, so couldn't sell on his own. And I, like an idiot, left my wallet at the house so not only could I NOT go grocery shopping, but I couldn't show the kid the ID to sell him the games for a buck.

So...we left the games there, went home, I gave the kid a buck and then, wallet firmly in hand, went to the grocery store, basically giving the games away. But since they weren't worth anything anyway...but...

Sheesh....

There's a neighborhood garage sale on July 11th that I'm planning on participating in. Lots of big stuff to sell, and I won't have to put an ad in the paper for it. You just never know... I'm calling it my vacation spending money. If there is any to be made, that is.

Entered three contests today, and sent off to one agency.
