Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Squall Line

After two plus glasses of wine and 4 hours sleep, I was up by 5am to set up for the big annual neighborhood Garage Sale Day. It's been going on for about ten years now, and folks come from all over to see what we've got for sale.

The weather, the day was nice - high, stringy desert clouds, a nice cooling breeze to offset the heat of the sun, and fun people to talk to.

I did manage to sell my ping pong table, four pairs of vintage earrings, and a roll-away bed. That's it, but those two big items gone means there's a tiny bit less clutter in our garage so I'm a happy girl. (Anyone want a foos ball table?)

Hubby took me to lunch, then I came back home and crashed. I finally woke up around six - then without warning, a squall line hit.

The rain came down in sheets, the way it does in other places. This was not So Cal rain. For about fifteen minutes, it simply poured, the way I remember it doing in the mountains when I was a child. The lovely earthy smell rose from the ground, the air got scrubbed, and it was easier to breathe.

The rain tapered off, spattered here and there. A rainbow was sighted, then a double rainbow...doubly lucky. And the rain has come back, fitful now, but bringing summer blessings.

I love summer rainstorms. I fell in love during one, 33 years ago this summer...
