Something weird is definitely going on inside my mouth. And yeah, I understand how that sounds.

But it's almost like - I've got a hard candy, or maybe a cough drop, tucked inside my cheek. That sweetness...it's irritating my teeth. Except I don't have a hard candy or a cough drop in my cheek. There's nothing in there except saliva and my teeth.

Unfortunately, I can't tell which tooth - and it changes from upper to lower. So I can't even tell if it's a real tooth issue (which I don't think it is, since I just had xrays in August and a mouth checkup in late September) or if it's a tumor issue. So I did what any gal would do in these circumstances - I sent an email to the nurse who will be scheduling all my pre-surgery activities between November 16 and December 16. And I begged her to ask the surgeon if this is normal, or if I need to get an emergency root canal in half my mouth.

Seriously.

It doesn't hurt, not really - it's just like my saliva has become sweet in the last six days or so, and only on the right side of my mouth. Which makes me think it's got to be tumor related, right?

Sigh. I'll let y'all know what the great doc says...
