Christine's New Chapter

Yesterday the countdown became more real as I donated blood for my surgery (but they most likely won't need it), received a lecture about iron and how to take it and how NOT to take it, got lost in Westwood, lost my son since I was an hour late picking him up from school, and finally lost it totally at work once said son called me to say he'd taken the bus and was now home, safe and sound.

Damn cell phones. You can't live with them, can't live without them. We're replacing son's as soon as we can (he jacked his when he broke his wrist).

Today is more pre-surgery fun - my pre-op physical with my GP, then BACK to UCLA to drop off my MRI films from August and get blood typed and screened (I'm A pos. What more do they need?!), then finally I get to come home and continue my edits. Which I should be doing now, but I have to switch POVs in one section and my inner writer is pouting. I LIKE it the way it is. Sigh.

146 pages to go, and I have to finish them tonight. Because I said I would. And I'd REALLY like to keep my word on this. Also because hubby is taking me off to a bed & breakfast tomorrow and all day Saturday, Saturday night we're having friends over for dinner, and Sunday is my local chapter meeting at which I shall speak and then my work Christmas Party at night. Busy weekend. No time to edit. So I HAVE to get it done today/tonight.

Back I go to edits.

Writing is not for wimps.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
