For a couple of days, I'll be taking meds at midnight with food. The only way I can do this now is if I actually do something else when I get up, hence the journaling.

The swelling on the outside of my ear has come down considerably, and I've found the three places where they had my head in a vise. The forehead one was obvious - and pain from the other ones made themselves known. The swelling and tenderness there is going away, too, another good thing.

My entire family is concerned that I will try to do too much too soon, and give me the evil eye whenever I get up for anything. So tomorrow I will do my best to keep still most of the day. I truly believe it would be easier for them if I were more bedridden the first couple days, but that's so not going to happen.

Some exciting news...I got my first cover! I really need to see in a bigger than thumbnail sketch, though. My eyes thought the man's ears were nipples, lol...so I did make a mention, and maybe they'll shade the ears differently, or add some long hair there...don't know, but it was the 4th iteration so they're not rushing to completion. And it's all because my name is at the top of the book! Great placing, makes total sense there, I'm not hating it, all good things. As soon as get a bigger jpeg, I'll post it on my website.

Okay, now it will take an hour for the vicodin to kick in. Maybe I'll be able to fall asleep without it, but maybe not. I can but try!
