I'm finally settling in to the "new" me. I'm getting more comfortable with my limitations and feeling more and more myself pre-surgery - though I will never be that person again.

It's nice, though. I go to the gym. I can go shopping. At times I get disoriented and dizzy, but that's just when I need to sit and be for awhile, rather than get up and do.

I can write. I am writing. I can make dinners and breakfasts and have only mild headaches at this point.

I am becoming this new person. So maybe settling is the wrong word, and it should be "becoming..."

I don't know, but with a fire in the fireplace, cassoulet in the crockpot and a cat on my lap, how much better can life get?

Not much, I'm thinking.
