I'm slowly getting this novel finished. It hasn't been easy - the mind hasn't been cooperating. But what I'm finding is, the writing that does finally get done (or rather, the re-writing) is stronger, deeper, than what had gone before. And I guess that's all I can ask for.

The surgery affected me more than I had thought it did. Now that I have a day job, I'm more "myself" - sharper, less prone to confusion. This concerns me, but only a little since I seem to have snapped out of it. The hubby was very worried for a long time, but he's starting to breathe easier, too.

So the book is taking longer than I'd expected. I'd rather hoped it would be out by now, but so it goes. I'll have to settle for a couple coming out next year. I think I can handle that.
