Mood: I wanted it! Read/Post Comments (3) |
2010-02-05 6:36 AM IT IS COMING!!!! Well I did!
I wanted snow! I have lived for most of the past 20 years of my life without much snow. Oh we'd get little storms but not really snow-mainly ice type storms-not snow. Well we are getting it big time!! Good news-I get to go home 4 hours early without using leave. The way this storm looks, there may not be work on Monday. They are comparing it to the storms of 83-I don't know, I was either at Ft. Hood TX, or Okinawa Japan. We have plenty of food, Hubby picked up a couple of things that we were going to get for the weekend anyway-he found some steaks on sale, 2 went into the freezer, 2 into the fridge; chicken wings and bbq sauce for Superbowl Sunday; and sweet Italian sausage, green & red peppers and round rolls will round out the other meals. Even without those things, we had enough food in the house. Always do. Habit I guess-grew up child of depression era parents, keep at least 3months of canned goods in the pantry; I don't have that much because we don't have enough room but we could go about 2 weeks before we starve although we would get pretty bored with oatmeal!! We are planning on setting up our apartment more this weekend too. Part of our garden room will be my crochet area. We discussed this last night-hubby needs office space for work that he will be doing at home. (things are popping there like crazy-lots of 'special projects!')
