2010-05-27 6:54 AM A Plan of Sorts We talked. A new afghan was planned. Now I will be developing it. Hubby may not fully understand how much work it will be to implement, but it will be pretty.
We managed to meet at the park. I am really enjoying this time. It goes too fast. Tree of Life will be crocheted in 3 colors, med gray, light gray and black. Double tree center panel-1 set of trees in black with light gray sort of outlining it, dark gray everywhere else. Side panels, dark gray with "garden" at bottom. Will need lots of work. Will have to write pattern line by line. I can picture it-and I am excited by it. I don't think anyone has done anything quite like it. Almost 3 dimensional with raised post stitches. I did see a picture of a crocheted "tree of life" afghan on the net yesterday. But the person basically took the knitted pattern and translated it stitch by stitch. Multiple rows of trees, multiple rows of garden flowers and dangly bobles. Definately not DD style. The one I am planning, I think SIL will appreciate since he studied graphic arts, and it is an interpretation-almost a photo negative. Please tell me if anyone else has done this if you have seen it. Even keel at home-finally. Talking works and so does really listening. So does his enthusiasm for a project of mine. Just involving him in my crochet work helps. Maybe he needs to be more involved in my life than is 'normal'. But that is him. I knew that when I married him. When did I stop letting him be involved? Just the little back and forth last night did wonders- for both of us. And for my creativity. Who would've thunk? Read/Post Comments (6) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
