DH and I planned Sunday out. We knew that going out Monday would not work. So we went to a movie first-Green Hornet-corney and a good laugh, then to a restaurant-Cafe Soliel. Dh had surprised me. He belongs to "open table" which is a online booking service for reservations-gives reviews and info about restaurants,a good resource. Anyway, they also linked up to a florist that delivers flowers to restaurant. Yup, he did it. Ordered flowers. We got to the restaurant about 1/2 hour before reserved time, over estimated travel time. We had to go through a hotel that ajoins the restaurant and we found the hostess area. I saw the bouquet waiting on the shelf but didn't see the name. The hostess said on minute please; when she came back, another couple had come in, and the male partner tried to push his way in front of us. She told him, politely, I need to seat these people first and led us to the table. There were the flowers. 3 white roses, dark pink carnations, pink sweet peas, and what looks like pink baby's breath. And a beautiful card. I nearly cried. He hasn't done anything like that in years. Of course I kissed him-that got an aplause from the older couple that was sitting behind us and from the hostess. We had a great meal. The bar manager was our server. Since we don't drink alcohol that often, and we didn't want any, we asked him what he could suggest to "specialize" the meal. We ended up with virgin Caprese. Instead of Champagne, he finished the drinks with Sprite, just a little. It is a nice refreshing drink. We are planning on going back, but it will be for special occaisions-price wise it is a little on the expensive side. I told DH I would love to stay in the hotel for my birthday and use the restaurant!

We finished the dinner with coffee-me decaf, and that was a mistake-triggered a major problem with me. That is why I wasn't here yesterday.
