Yeah, managers can give you heart attacks sometimes! My manager called me into her office and met me in the outer office to go into the div. head office. Ok, heart in throat time. But all is well, Div head just wanted to recognize my efforts in not being out sick-but as she said, this does not give me the right to call out sick again and if leave usage goes back up-I will be getting a letter. She also gave me a TY little stuffed dog-hound dog. (Div head loves dogs and has 2). Now we can breathe a little. We weren't sure that a letter of dismissal wasn't coming. She said there wasn't one. But I still am not calling in sick. Eventually the health issues may need me to retire, but not yet. Now DH & I can plan better. We are looking for cheaper place to live, however, his wheelchair accesibility and need for closeness to metro. But Knowing that the Sword of Damascules isn't hanging over our heads helps.
