2011-09-15 7:32 AM Last day of training I noticed something about our training.
The powers that be got the real exciting speakers for the morning. Then they got the people that use the computer to do the speaking for them in the afternoon. And the eyes close-or really try to close! Lots of real good information if you WANT to direct your career further. If you just wanted technical updates of your job-well you were a little out of luck-but then our job doesn't change much. We type, we file, we do time. The rules don't change. We help with budgets. And as some of the speakers advised, it is up to me to advise my boss when I want more and to find out what I can do to take things off of his plate. MY boss works through his lunch every day. He manages his own calendar, his own meetings, and at times doesn't give himself enough breathing room. So it is time for me to open my eyes a little bit more. My job doesn't take up 40 hours a week. Sometimes it only takes 24 hours. Like I said yesterday, Time to be SHOOK UP! Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
