2012-03-09 8:04 AM Dating That is what we did yesterday-we had a date. It was a nice one. He was a gentleman. Did talk alot about himself, but not unexpected. We didn't get home until 11.
First I had my PT appointment. Leaving work 10min early got me to the appointment 25 min earlier than I had been arriving. And we got started right away. My arms/back get a good workout. And apparently my upper thighs do too-at least that is what they are telling me this morning. Hey, muscle workout is good. When I was done,(no real sweating folks,TG), we headed to the restaurant,Carmine's. Good Italian food, family style. We were 1/2 hour early, but that worked to our advantage. We had a window seat and It was a very calm evening. I went to the ladies and acted like I did when I was in my 20s. Refluffed my hair. It had been pinned up because of the PT and the wind(weather). The food was great-everything is shared when you order. We started with Portabello mushrooms parmagano. Next was Peppers (Green and Red) and onions as a side dish with cheese manicotti. Dessert was bread pudding with fresh whipped cream. It was all great. Ok, today for lunch I have 1 portabello mushroom and 2 cheese manicotti. Tonight for dinner B is picking up some sweet Italian sausage and I'll cook those and reheat the peppers and onions. We talked and relaxed with each other. We had fun. No business, no house stuff, but stuff about each other. Our likes, dislikes. Small plans for the weekend-when laundry is going to get done. My idea that I want to really clean the bedroom and rearrange it-get rid of some of the boxes. After this we walked to the next part of our date-the Riot Act Comedy Club. There we found out that we were required to buy 2 items in the showroom. They have food!! If we had known that, we would not have gone out to dinner-we would have gone home, taken care of the cat and then gone to the club!! Oh well, to the show room. I ordered a chocolate malt beer. Uh, two sips-no more, waste of money. Started drinking diet Coke. B had Sprite, and after awhile ordered me spinach dip and chips. Not hungry, but it was a munchy. The show was suppose to start at 8:30, we got there at 7. Show started after 9. Then we found out that the show was being televised for TBS. It was part of NCAA College National Competition. We had been told that 4 students each from Howard University and Maryland Universicy would be competing. There were closer to 10 each. Each commedian had 3 minutes. We left after the commedians finished but before judging was done. And we got home a little after 11. The were some stinkers in the mix. 2 girls, rest were guys. The first commedian, from Howard was great. A couple from Maryland were close. All were PG rated at least, some close to R. And a couple really bombed. At least one, could not understand what he said at all-mike was not held properly and he spoke way too fast. One made the couple next to us real uncomfortable because he hit on the girl, and joke fell flat. Overall, great time, though told B that next time-we go on Friday. I think that B expected 1 real nice evening to open the door all the way. NO, it was a nice evening but it was not real life. It was a date-best behavior. This weekend will be real life. Though I did find it interesting that B is interested in working in the workout room now. He is seeing how much I enjoy the PT. I feel a difference in my arms, so even when PT stops, I am not stopping! Well, now on to work. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
