A long weekend!

It was only two days long, but seemed to go on forever!

Ever try to figure out what in your household you will need for 1 1/2 to possibly 5 weeks in another household. And you cannot take everything because there will not be enough space. Oh, and move everything away from the walls while you are at it. And get it done so that they can move heavy furniture Monday. You need to be out Monday night.

We moved clothes-hanging, canned goods, pots/pans, dvds, silverware. Packed up the shopping cart, unpacked it.

We lost one thing-our kitchen cart. It was loaded so nicely. It would carry all of this stuff-B pushed it at a good clip through the apartment. And then, it hit the door frame-that little riser-and the wheel didn't just roll over it. The kitchen cart accordianed. No other word for it. The plastic bin of can that was front and center on top, went sliding off into the hallway. Thank goodness no one was coming from the other side!! And if that thing could have gotten any flatter, I don't know how!

But nothing but the cart broke! No pot, pan, bottlel, condiment, can, the drawers held the utensils safe-knives secure, silverware save. Only 1 corn cob holder escaped-we found it this morning across the hall.

Instead of it all going in 1 trip, it took 3. Oh, well, lesson learned. Kitchen carts are not transportation devices!!

Sweetie was upset last night by the time we stopped moving. She had not had a lap to sit in for two days! So she got some patting. I did make a new lap blanket for her to lay on, when she's in my lap. She likes it. She slept on it last night.

B is home today dealing with the last of the move. When I get home there will be more to do, I know.

Then we will live in 300 sq feet for a time. And then reverse the procedure. However, there will be less canned food. And I am looking forward toward this time of less TV, less ordering out and more quiet time with B.

We have reading assignmets to work on, and the apartment will be great for that.

B found the video camera, and his scetch books and regular camera are coming upstairs too!

He also found some knitting tools of mine that I need-now I don't need to rebuy them. So good news too.
