Well, not quite done

Superman met his Kryptonite! B insisted he could handle everything Monday. Yup. Sure could. Instead I got a very sore, hurt husband and lots of work. Thank goodness for prednisone kicking in! I woke up at 3 a.m. yesterday knowing I was not making it in because there was too much left for B to do himself.

So at 5, I got up with my alarm, told B, "I am staying home." Called my boss. Got dressed. Ate and by 6:30 was at work. By 9:30 our stuff was upstairs. Stuff off bookshelves. Talked to office managers. When plumbing is done, then furniture will be moved away from walls for any painting etc. And we will have help doing that.

Kitchen floor will also be redone. For the past 4-5 moves-each time a new tenant has come in, they have relaid the stick flooring over the old, without removing the old stuff. There is over an inch difference between my dining room and kitchen floors, and the tiles don't stick right anymore. Since they are doing so much, I asked if they could fix that too. They are.
And we get a 12000 BTU AC-that they have to order.

A few hours after we get upstairs, I am upacking kitchen. Setting it up and feeling at home and cell phone rings. It is apartment manager. The one closet they said we could put stuff in, and we did. They have to empty. It is jammed packed. I told her it has personal papers, china, all sorts of stuff and it is FULL. She understands. No problem.

Oh, well, not our fault, and nothing we could do about it.

Best part, any painting they do will be done with oder free paint since I have asthma.

And they won't be able to raise rent, cause of B's wheelchair (once we get all the medical paperwork redone!)
