2012-08-03 8:04 AM Realization or Just Coincidence? I was home with a migraine yesterday. Just a regular one, so I am back here today. Anyway, once I was able to get up and reassure the cat that I was alive, I got to thinking. My mom had to take disability retirement from the same government agency after about 25 years of service. I have almost 28. I was 19, almost 20 when that happened, she was 54 or 55. I am 54. Her medical conditions were similar to mine. Only I am adopted. Creeped me out for a few minutes. It was physically impossible for her to be my mother-age wise, she had a hysterectomy about 10 years before I was born. But the coincidence of life is just freaky.
Life is going on. Sometimes things sorta hit me in the face. I don't have a date of retirement yet, so things are in limbo sort of. I have paperwork to weed through. And that gives me a head ach. Not to mention the fact that it can take up to 13 months for disability payments to be approved. Beau has finally agreed that we need to sell the house or that it has to be returned to the bank. He has been worried that if foreclosed, he would lose his job. His manager has told him no. Especially now, with the extenuating situation of me leaving work. Last night in MC, it finally hit him that the choice is gone. $600/month is a lot of money we don't have any more. End of story. We don't have it any more. So, an end of a chapter is coming up soon. Time to plan it out. And now he says he wants to work from home 90% of the time. Oh, well, I can find ways to keep myself busy. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
