I'm Baaaaaack

News Flash: Found out what I do have and have probably have had for years and years-just didn't know it: fibromyalgia. Never told any doc about the on and off joint and body pains I would get cause they would go away after a day of pain However, this last bout between the thing in August and my kidneys in September, triggered a major attack of pain throughout my body.

This is the first day I have been in work for over 3 weeks. Today only my right shoulder/arm and the knuckles in both hands hurt. I can work. It will be great to be tired for a real reason tonight.

I told B that there must be a something we can learn from this type of pain, and maybe something we can teach others. How to live, how to enjoy life together, how to rearrange goals, dreams? I don't know yet, but I am sure I will find out what.

So I am back in the land of the living. Hopefully you will all be healthy and safe. I have been thinking of you.

I always said that as long as I didn't lose my eyesight and my hands I would be happy. Fibro attacks my hands, so I limit my use of them when in pain. Today is okay.

Sweetie loves having me home though. She will wake me up if she thinks that I have slept enough. Then she will nap on my chest to make sure I take an afternoon snooze!

Sunday I tried an experiment in the crookpot-Baked beans. I will not call them Boston baked since I didn't use salt pork. I used smoked turkey wings. Two wing tips, two bags of navy beans soaked over night, 1 bottle of molasses, 1 cup of dark brown sugar, 1 tbls mustard powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 sm can tomatoe paste, 1/2 large white onion or 1 small onion chopped fine. Put onion and tomato paste in crock pot, turn pot on cook high, add about 1 cup water and stir to blend. Add rest of of ingredients and mix well. Add water to cover. Cook until done. Takes about 8-9 hours. They tasted great. The smoked turkey adds that nice smoke flavor with out the fat, and you get little bits of meat. You can use more meat if you want without upsetting the salt balance. I used 4 cups water this time and cooked on high the whole time. Next time I am going to use 3 cups water and cook on low starting it the night before and cook over night.

B roasted a pork roast in the oven and the two together were a perfect combo.
