2004-11-06 7:31 AM GLBT and why I am profoundly upset I will be creating a new journal at livejournal to handle my political commentary. I like to keep my life compartmentalized. Up until now I have had this one for writing topics and piggy watching and my main lj for personal stuff and fun, the pleasant sides of my personallity (I bet you didn't think I had one).
However, the results of the election and the way the votes have gone on same-sex marriage and other issues related to GLBT have left me profoundly disturbed. I believe that many bigotted people who before needed little or no excuse to attack and persecute people like myself will now procede to take these victories as license to increase the vicious attacks, verbal, physical, and in print upon the members of the glbt community. Therefore I will soon be starting a page called "curmudgeonzone" and working from there to cover more of what is happening and to provide a call to action to see the infamous acts and outrages responded to and defeated. When I have it up I will let everyone know it.
