Cussedness Godwar Central Station LEVEL 20 ARCH-CURMUDGEON ALL HATE MAIL WILL BE POSTEDI am an out of the closet, bi-sexual gender queer and have long believed that the personal is political. Perhaps that is simply a bit of 1960s idealism that most people have outgrown; but it remains near and dear to me. I am the best-selling dark fantasy ebook author of the Dark Brothers of the Light series. I made my first short story sale at 23. it appeared in Amazons! which took the World Fantasy Award for best anthology in 1980February 2004: In The Darkness Hunting: Tales of Chimquar the Lionhawk (wildside press) Dark Brothers of the Light Series. 2004-11-09 12:21 PM An email from the self-published zone This just in from another self-publisher that I have bumped heads with in the past. Janrae, I missed nothing. You cannot deny in the past your complete disregard. Only recently have I seen a slight change in tune from you. I have found you to be only a smidgen more open-minded but feel you allow your opinion to be influenced without sampling the product. We've had this discussion before on CWW. Bob is still trying to implant procedures into his company. The only fault you could say he has is his open-mindedness and willingness to look outside of the box. For 2004, he simply took on too many projects and that is why several have been delayed. I know of three projects that were delayed simply because an impatient author withdrew his submission because it was taken too long to get the book together. The same authors you piss on for looking for that instant validation are the cause for many delays. They fail to realize that a quality product takes time. Since our last discussion at CWW, I have come to respect your opinion. In this instance, I think you should give Bob the time he needs to prove Cyber-Pulp is for the writers. Sincerely, Keith Gouveia ************************* There has been no change in my tune. My book from Wildside came out long before we butted heads at CWW. I left CWW in protest over your attitude. Prime started producing royalties for the writers in six months after it started and Wildside did also when they were first starting. Cyber-pulp has been around for five years and it is still not according to many I have heard from. Renaissance ebooks, which pays quarterly, sees the first bits and pieces of royalties come through and be passed onto the writers with a few months of publication. Therefore one must wonder where cyber-pulp is going wrong.
