exercise: 35 ct (note: I’ve added hand weights), 1 abs, power walking in Costco I’d hoped to get more words done yesterday, but Ken arrived home just as I was starting my post-exercise shower. After we made and ate dinner, folks (well, one, anyway) showed up for sewing night, and after she left, we spent the rest of the evening together. Not that I’m complaining, though. I’m working on an early period tunic now. Someone gave me black fabric with pinstripe blue lines on it, already partially cut and sewn to be a kimono. I have wonderful blue-on-black knotwork trim (strips of fabric, actually) that, although it’s not woven, doesn’t look immensely modern (it’s not metallic, at least!). And Morgana has documentation for an early tunic with all sorts of knotwork up the front and sides. Eh voila. So last night, I removed the front pieces that shouldn’t be there, sewed up the front, put the front trim on, and cut out the sleeves and gussets. This’ll be a relatively quick-down-and-dirty project, and I’ll have yet another outfit to wear. Ken mostly finished a pair of particoloured tights: black on one leg and black-and-white striped on the other, with a codpiece opposite to that. Major yum. [Rest of commentary deleted…you get the idea.] After Ken got home from work tonight, we went to Costco. We went for 8 items, and left with 22. Scary, that. We came home, threw in a frozen pizza, munched on salad, and (finally!) watched the “Buffy” musical! Huzzah! What a brilliant episode on so many levels. Tony Head and James Marsters can sing at me any day. Now I have this desire to listen to all my show tunes: “Chess”, Dennis De Young’s “10 on Broadway”… After that we watched “Charmed”, and then went over finances and discussed the plan for the weekend. If we stick to schedule, we should have the library done except for the bookcases themselves and all of the mouldings. _And_ we should have time for a motorcycle jaunt on Sunday afternoon.
