Musings About Writing and Stories About Life

She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Pkch! Stupid technology anyway

And now it’s Tuesday morning. Today I’m going to edit the rest of the booklet files, slog through more e-mail, and maybe even get some writing done—I need to get “Testing the Waters” polished and sent. Spinners meeting tomorrow; for the first time since I got back, I don’t have anything to turn in. Just been too busy with writing non-spec fic projects, vacation, and now SCA stuff.

I feel like I’m forgetting some of the things we did over the weekend, but that’s the curse of not writing on the journal every day.

Must…stop…using…internet…as…giant…Larry…scrapbook…

Ah! Ken came home from lunch and hooked up ethernet so the computers talk to each other again (I just can’t carry the laptop to another room). That’ll make life a little easier.

I just don’t feel like I’m getting anywhere today. Annoying.

All right. I’ve edited all of the booklet files I have, made a list of them, and sent a cross-checking e-mail to the GWW list to figure out what I’m missing. Next step will be design, probably starting with scanning the stuff that needs to be scanned. Also talked to Teresa; we need to coordinate some stuff for stories we’ve co-written for an antho.

Stupid HP. The new thing (what should I call it? It’s not just a printer… Contraption, maybe. The laser printer is The Behemouth ‘cause it’s huge, so this can be The Contraption) doesn’t work with OS X.2 yet. Ken’s going to bring a scanner home from work for me to use temporarily so I can finish the booklets. Argh, technology. (And this isn’t something I can pound on the nightstand to make it work.) That’s it, I’m going to bed.
