Mood: Sleepy Read/Post Comments (0) |

Sleepy… Yesterday afternoon we got a spontaneous invitation from Chris & Bruce to “throw ourselves on the grenade” and help them eat the extra food they were preparing for dinner. How could we pass something like that? So we showered and went over and ate pork loin chops and garlic-cheese mashed potatoes and broccoli and chocolate fondue (our contribution, although Chris did all the work) and cookie dough, and played Fluxx. We got home at 3 a.m., because I’d forgotten I had to get up this morning for my chiro appt. And when we got home, I had a raging headache. I was not a happy camper… But we slept, and my headache was gone when I reluctantly woke up (without the alarm, even—I’d managed to set it for p.m. by mistake). I’m just still really sleepy. Chiro went well. I complained about the combo machine giving me headaches, so we tried it on low and and in a narrower area, and that seemed to work. Good massage, too. I went to Costco afterwards and stocked up on paper goods and various foodstuffs. I’ve spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on e-mail and copyediting until my brain started making spitzen-sparken noises. I’m going to write for a bit and then watch “Charmed”. I actually made some notes on Chapter 12 while waiting in line at Costco. How obsessive is that?! Didn’t get to writing then, but now I have, sitting in here while folks are out sewing. I have the ideas, and the desire, and the impetus to finish Chapter 12 tonight. What I don’t have is the awake brain cells for the task. So, tomorrow. I know I also need to update here with all the wonderful details of Valentine’s Day, and what we’ve been doing since then. I will, I promise!
