Slept well last night. Didn’t have much of a choice, really! Cyclorama, the new Styx album, hits stores today! I’ll be heading out to buy it in a short while (must actually put clothes on first). Early reviews are calling it the best Styx album since Pieces of Eight and Paradise Theatre. Give it a try. C’mon, have I ever led you astray? Also, ironically, happy birthday to Dennis De Young, one of the original members of Styx but not on the album. I got a rejection today from Realms of Fantasy. I was rather confused, as according to my list, I didn’t have anything out there. So I popped on to their slush list, which lists author initials and story initials, and saw I had something called TW. At which point I had to go through the file cabinet to figure out which story that was. I think it’s a good thing that I have so many stories in circulation that I can’t remember them all. Cyclorama is a very nifty album. Walmart sucks in both music selection and service (apparently they have no computer tracking to know what’s actually in stock. S’cuse me?). The guy at the Wherehouse actually knew what I was talking about, and liked Styx circa Equinox and Grand Illusion, and had a roommate who was raving over the new single. Either that or he was a very good liar. But I bought the CD there, on sale, and I was happy. Still am. Ack, no time to catch up on things here. Good writing stint tonight. Should finish the book tomorrow. Should finish copy editing tomorrow, which leaves me Thursday to do all the indexing work (what joy). Ken leaves early tomorrow for Portland, wah, but I have a goodly amount of stuff to keep me occupied until his return on Friday. Not the least of which is the possibility of meeting Styx on Thursday night. But you’ll have to wait until tomorrow to hear about that… [evil laugh] Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
