2003-06-09 11:59 PM Artsy Hah! I just realised that I made the placket for my German dress less than two years ago, so I can enter it in the contest. I have primary documentation in the form of pictures, so the write-up won’t be too hard. That gives me five items in three categories (which is the max allowed):
The Project That Cannot Be Mentioned: either fiber or functional German placket: fiber rose beads: functional leather mask: visual gonfalon: visual My biggest concern right now are the docs for the rose beads and TPTCBM. With rose beads, I do have primary documentation, but only secondary sources that say that they were used to make rosaries. With TPTCBM, I KNOW they were used in period, but I can’t find a whit of documentation. I think I’m using the right terms; it’s just that they’re used in modern times, too, so that’s what usually shows up in a Google search.
