AETW: 628 Who, I ask you, would burden their child with a name like Zeus Leonardo? Zeus _anything_ is bad. Sheez. Sometimes I miss working in an office, where I can just get up and share that with my coworkers. Ah well. There are many more things I don’t miss. Having a last name of Haggis is somewhat unfortunate, too. (But before you go into a knee-jerk haggis joke, keep in mind that I _like_ a properly prepared haggis. Mmmm…) <><><> I finished the journal I was editing and sent it on its way. It’s good to have that project done. I scrambled around typing up notes and printing info for Costume Guild tonight—I was responsible for talking about pre-Norman British clothing. Yoiks. While I was working, I had a complete wash of but-I-don’t-know-this, but once I got there, I muddled through. I really don’t know much about a lot of things, and sometimes that bugs me. I do know that I love Eostre, who is next to me on the desk, purring madly. She has received a reprieve and doesn’t have to go to the vet tomorrow morning to get her teeth cleaned. See, Dennis came over this afternoon to work on his truck and my car, and pick up the screen door for the back porch. First of all, the screen door didn’t fit, so he had to take it back. Then it got dark, and by that time he had my car apart, and he needed to buy a tool. He came in, sat down, and said, “You’re not going anywhere tonight, right?” Erm, well, yes… So I called Cat, who had just sat down to supper at a restaurant, and she threw her food into a takeout container and came home to take me to Costume Guild. I changed Eostre’s appt to next week, and hopefully the car will be ready by the time I need to leave for my hair appt tomorrow. Because I really, really need my hair appt. <><><> I do so love Afalwen. Last night as I was getting ready for bed, I had some ideas for the Sex and Chocolate thing, so I took Afalwen to bed with me and wrote a little more. I wrote even more tonight, and I think it’s mostly done, although I’m not sure if the vignettes all work together to create a cohesive piece. I’ll look at it again tomorrow. <><><> Nobody has asked why I titled a recent entry “Mouse mummy”. Huh. Read/Post Comments (7) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
