2004-02-23 11:59 PM Yay and yoiks in equal measure Very tired. We tried to go to bed at a reasonable hour last night, but we ended up talking… That typical last-day-of-visit thing. I dropped Teresa off at the airport almost two hours ago, and I’ve accomplished very little since. I swung by CJ’s and got a bacon-Swiss-crispy-chicken whatnot because I was about to faint from hunger, and ate it at home while watching a recorded sitcom—I’m very behind on recorded stuff, in part because I taped several hours’ worth of Sid & Marty Krofft shows. They might be fun to watch on Friday night, though.
And that’s about it. I thought about doing laundry, but haven’t made it out to the garage. I fed the cats and gave Eostre her pill. Heck, I still haven’t taken _my_ pills yet. I’m tired enough that I don’t want to do anything…which isn’t good. I have lots to do. <><><> Ah, once I got going today, things went pretty well. I’ve edited and designed the entire GP (by the end of it, though my shoulder/neck was hurting, which was bad). I’ve made decent headway into the Black Oak Lodge booklet, and Cat says she has the rest of the info for me, so I’ll be able to get that squared away within a few days. Annnnnd, the big news is…Ken comes home on Wednesday! WEDNESDAY! Like, two days from now! I am swooning in joy. I am giddy with excitement. <><><> Hosted Sewing Studio tonight, and it was quite pleasant. Jamie came to help Jeff with his Russian coat, and everyone else was mostly working on their own, so I wandered about trying to remember what the hell I’d been working on months ago before it got so busy. I did some mending, and then cut out the sleeves for the never-ending cotehardie. I have to bead the sleeves, line them, and attach them to the dress. Then the entire dress needs to be refitted (I cut it out when I was a good 20 pounds heavier). I’ve been restless because I’ve had no handwork projects (Cat and I still have to warp the various inkle looms), and now I realise I have several. I still have to embroider over Larry and Ricky’s autographs on my Styx t-shirt. [Pause while Dayle relives the memory of the signing… I’ll be back in a few hours…] I have the tea towel from Gretna Green that’s of a marriage license, and I need to embroider our information on it. And now I have the beading as well. All of this is fine, because I have a bunch of TV shows to watch. Afterwards, Cat and I watched a fantastic episode of “Charmed”. The series has really become amazing this season. We keep having to stop and discuss plot points, and what might be really going on, and where they could go with it. There was a big twist in which an unknown bad guy (sort of) was revealed. And the look Piper gave Chris at the end…wow. Then we went over some Black Oak stuff that she’d brought back from the event steward. It’s not complete, but tomorrow morning I’ll add as much as I can to the site booklet and then send it to the steward to give her an idea of where I’m going. We’ve told her it has to be done and mailed (my job) by the end of the month, which mostly means this week. The event is the middle of March, and I’ll be gone for a week at the beginning of March. Yoiks. Yay, but yoiks, in mostly equal measures. Sadly, Albra has bronchitis and won’t be visiting. Please send healing thoughts her way. I can fill my day tomorrow with writing and the Black Oak Lodge booklet and a few minor errands. And with those plans in place, I shall take myself to bed. G’night, pets.
