2005-02-21 11:44 PM Clever disguises Words Written: AETW: 0
Ow. Dammit. I’ve been having sinus headaches every morning this week, often waking me up before my needed 8 hours. Usually drugs and caffeine knock the headache back within an hour. Not so today. It hurt worse, I got much less sleep, and now, after 8 p.m., it’s still with me. We are not amused. At this rate, I’ll have to actually choose a local doctor. We did clean up the sewing room a bit today. Ken found my Palm’s hot sync cradle, hurrah! so that my Palm can now be used as more than a glorified alarm clock. However, I didn’t find the missing box of office supplies, which is annoying. It must be in the storage unit, cleverly disguised as a box of books. I also found my earring tree, which is wrought iron and in the shape of a woman with her hair flowing to one side. I love it, but it doesn’t go with the Victorian dresser. Pooh. I’ll have to put her in the closet—which will be a bit inefficient given that the rest of my jewelry is in the dresser. <><><> I just realized something, lo this very late at night, as bed beckons me and I find myself growing weaker against her Siren call. No, not a penchant for bad metaphors (I already realized that, thank you). I realized that I should just write the epilogue to AETW. I know what happens in it, as opposed to the next few scenes, which I have only a vague idea about. I should write the epilogue, and then the scene right before it. At the point, I’ll probably summarize from where I am now to the penultimate scene, and get it sent out. There’s no way I can have it completely written in time. Especially given that I have no idea how to wrap up a major subplot, and that to do so will add more words than I have time to write in the next few days (once I figure out what happens). I’m okay with this. (I’ll let you know tomorrow whether I wake up in the middle of the night in a sweating panic.) --- Currently Reading: Men Writing Science Fiction As Women anthology, for the workshop Lately Listened To: lovely rain Recently Watched: “Andromeda”, which we’ve never seen before, but we had to watch this one because Gillian wrote the episode. Not bad at all. Yet another show I’ll have to start watching on DVD when I figure out how to live without sleep. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
