An up-and-down weekend. It started well enough on Friday night. I hit traffic on the way home, and Ken had a frustrating time getting a shuttle home from the airport, but eventually there was much smooching and cuddling and the eating of pizza and the watching of TV. We went to bed fairly early, both of us being exhausted. Saturday...mostly a blur. Ken was still wiped out and recovering from 7 days of 10-12 hours of work each. We caught up on more TV, and I got through all the Black Oak Lodge e-mail I needed to answer. I was up and down all day, mostly mildly down. I suppose my body and brain wanted a day to recharge. It was annoying, though, feeling that way. Sunday, Morgana & Brian collected us and took us to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), because Morgana realized on Saturday that Sunday was the very last day of the Arts & Crafts exhibit. The exhibit was fantastic—Morgana and I were particularly enamored of the Norwegian stuff. I’d never been to LACMA before, and was quite impressed. We also did some of the antiquities, Medieval, and Renaissance before we all agreed that we were tired, our backs hurt, and we were hungry. They took us to their favorite Ethiopian restaurant (and that’s what I love about LA: the fact that there are seven Ethiopian restaurants in a city block!) and we scarfed injera with all sorts of tasty dishes. <><><> Got the first rejection on a query for AETW. Which at this point in time is probably a good thing, as the rewrite is not going as fast as planned, and I don't really have sample chapters ready to send. Still.
