She's like the girl in the movie when the Spitfire falls
Like the girl in the picture that he couldn't afford
She's like the girl with the smile in the hospital ward
Like the girl in the novel in the wind on the moors

Sleepy time

Words Written: 0

Oh, why is it that rejections arrive on Monday, just before I have to post my score for The Race?!

<><><>

Company meeting tomorrow morning, which means I have to meet my carpool at 7:15 a.m. Shudder.

<><><>

Wanted: Suggestions of Internet sites for free cross-stitch or blackwork patterns(either on websites or downloadable from them). The patterns don't have to be period but definitely can't be cutesy, Country, or Christian. I'm especially looking for bookmarks, borders, and/or small designs.

I had a follow-up chiro appt this morning so I couldn't carpool. But Ken drove me, and Ed & Marian came along, and they went to the Santa Barbara Mission before picking me up so we could all go out to lunch. We went to a local Cajun restaurant that we'd heard good things about. Alas, Marian's "mild" Creole shrimp dish was still too spicy for her, but she foisted some of it off on Ed in exchange for half of his sandwich. The cornbread was pronounced very good by all. (Ken and Marian got it with their meals, and the waitress “accidentally” broke a piece and gave half each to Ed and I.)

They went to Solvang after that, and timed it so they could pick me up. After dinner, Marian and I went to the drugstore for various and sundry, and then we all watched the “Smile Time” episode of Angel before calling it a night. Poof, it’s a night!

And on that note, good night.
