2005-06-13 10:11 PM I'm just sayin'... Words Written: CSF 1151
(The above count is for my half of the book, minus the 10K we’ve already written.) <>-<>-<> Why do we think Friday the 13th is bad when Monday the 13th can only, by virtue of it being Monday, be worse? But no, I’m still in a relentlessly cheerful mood. (Don’t say I didn’t warn you.) The weekend wasn’t as productive as I’d hoped, but I still got a lot done. I had some down time with good friends, wrote, and cleaned off a fair portion of my desk. I didn’t get returned stories mailed out, but I’ll try to do that tonight. Writing on the way to work today went well, and I know what happens for the rest of the scene, so this evening’s session should be speedy and easy as well. In other news, Ken may be extending his stay in Portland by about a week—really more like half a week’s worth of work, but then he still has to get home. Ah well. Things are going really well, and they adore him, and that’s what’s important. Our department at work is moving in a couple weeks, so I may get to work at home for a day or two, which will be nice. I’m semi-losing my window. (Huh? everyone says.) I won’t be directly next to a window, but part of one of my walls will be half height so I can see through my boss’s office to the window. He knew I didn’t want to be without a window and managed to swing that, which was really sweet of him. <>-<>-<> You know you work in southern California when a meeting with your boss takes place in his Jeep with the top down on the way to get a smoothie. I’m just sayin’. <>-<>-<> Okay. A decent day of writing. Hoped to get more done when I got home, but we left late from work, and so I had less than two hours to feed myself, do dishes, clean the catboxes and put out the trash, and handle a few e-mails and catch-up work. And soon, very soon, to bed. ----
