2005-11-11 11:01 PM Yes, thank the gods it's Friday Happy Veteran’s Day (Veterans’ Day?)/Armistice Day. Also, Happy Anniversary of my Second Wedding Ceremony to my First Husband, if you’ve been following this story for a while. (This would not be the ceremony that involved the giant burnt-orange sofa and the large ceramic ALF, nor the one preceded by the drunken Scotsman and his understandably miffed new wife Janie who remained unmoved by his cleverly crafted paean to her*.)
In other, completely unrelated except it also came from my brain, news, Night of the Lepus is now out on DVD! Yes, we can all own this wonderfully awful piece of cinematic magic so that it can be a staple of everyone’s Easter festivities without the added joy of commercials from the early 1980s! What is Easter without Giant Killer Bunnies, and a very low budget to create a film about them? At least Hamsters of Rock knew enough not to take itself seriously.** --- *You heard that sarcasm, right? **No doubt in part because my beloved Ken was the producer on this latter masterpiece of music video legend. ---
Currently Reading: All Eve’s Hallows, Dean Wesley Smith (yes, I was reading Wilde Side, but I got distracted—I mean, c’mon, a new Dean book); the most recent Realms of Fantasy (because it took me forever to get through an interminably long story that really didn’t have a strong enough point to justify its length, blah) Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
