2005-11-11 7:33 AM Writerly challenge (I've e-mailed this to a few people, but figured I'd post it here, too, just in case I had a major brain fade and forgot anybody.)
I’m going to be participating in a Oregon Coast Writers online writing challenge over the Thanksgiving holiday (based on our Novel-in-a-Week challenge, which some folks call Book-in-a-Week; see here and here for details). To that end, is anyone interesting in a writerly get-together/writing challenge extravaganza over the long weekend? (It could also be a heads-down-get-stuff-done get-together, I suppose. To accomplish quiet work, things that need concentration. Especially things that are overdue or you’ve been putting off.) What I’m thinking about: Any number of days, or just one day (that will depend on who’s interested). Planned breaks, with a walk on the beach, tea and scones, etc. Probably pizza for dinner. If it’s a multiple-day thing, people are welcome to stay over. Ideally, goals will be set in the morning, and reviewed in the evening. All you’d need to bring are your laptops, any drinks you require, and perhaps food to share (we can sort that once we know who’s coming). Who’s in?! E-mail me privately if you're interested.
