2005-12-20 11:35 PM Staying home Words Written: I’m about to take Afalwen to bed with me, so I’ll report tomorrow
It’s amazing how illness can change your whole perspective on your To Do list. I’ve just cancelled picking up my waist cincher (for the second time) and rescheduled for next week, and sent regrets for my work holiday party (which I’d been looking forward to, but there you go). Other than going to Morgana and Brian’s for a Solstice tea tomorrow, I’m staying home and working. And Ken’s completely staying home, because he is deep in the throes of lurgified sickness. Anything that can be put off ‘til next week, or ‘til the new year, will be put off. Today we took the cats to the vet for various minor checkup-y things; I went to Albra’s to get measured for the corset I ordered several years ago (I wanted it for an Edwardian outfit, but that party has long passed, so I’ve found a “modern” corset style that she’s going to make me in time for the publicity stuff in January); and I went to the mall, where I bought a lace jacket and a skirt. The jacket was kind of for the holiday party, but it’s something I’ll definitely wear elsewhere. Overall, I’m feeling better, although I’m still stuffy and occasionally coughing. I'm starting to get fretful energy, so that's a good thing! ---
