We went a-erranding today, and I put a bunch of tasty items (chicken, Swiss cheese, stuffing mix, among others) in the crock pot, and then Morgana came over to watch several episodes of I Can’t Believe I Wore That! (1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and The Millennium). Much amusement. I cleaned a pile of tarnished silver jewelry and did some kumihimo braiding at the same time. The crock pot recipe was good, but not great; it was similar to another oven recipe we have that includes sherry, and I think I prefer that version. Good to know. After dinner, it occurred to me that I hadn’t done any work yet today (the curse of a long holiday), so I spent several hours answering e-mail and reading manuscripts. Then I headed back downstairs to my study and worked on a story, and if I didn’t have to get up tomorrow for a hair appointment, I’d still be down there working on it. I’d like to finish it tomorrow, send it off to be critiqued, and move on to another project, of which I have many. It’s all good! ---
