2006-03-20 11:16 PM Drumroll, please... Words Written: Angelika 1541
Exercise: ow Just as I was sitting down to call Sarah at 5 tonight, my head started to hurt. A sharp, throbbing pain on the right side. One second I was fine; the next, pow. Very annoying. Sarah and I had a great call (we should get this puppy back to the editor by Wednesday night!), but once we were done, I staggered upstairs and went to bed for a while. The headache almost went away, but just before I fell asleep I had to get up to go to the bathroom, and that whole sleep plan was dashed. So I never entirely beat it back. Still, stubbornness prevailed. I had written 67 words shy of 1000, and I wanted to hit my 1K, dammit. I ended up with just over 1500, which is even better. Not the 5K I’d originally intended for today, but not shabby at all. I also had a chiro appt, and my back feels better, although not completely the way it ought to be. Probably didn’t help that I went grocery shopping on the way home. I was going to talk about books, but not tonight. Tonight I’m going to bed, in the hopes that a good night’s sleep will make everything feel better. Oh, and Ken went through a ton of “office” boxes today, and found some office supplies we’d been missing (and a really nice box that they were in), and…drumroll, please…my very first Styx drumstick! (So, yes, pun intended. :-) ) I’d mostly resigned myself to the idea that I’d left it in Wales. I was okay with that because I have quite a few, but I want to have the stuff framed from that tour (since I got something from everyone in the four-day span), and I knew I’d always remember that it wasn’t the drumstick. So, much coolness there. (Now I have three tours’ worth of stuff to have framed: 2000, 2005, and 2006. And I will finish the write-up about the four shows earlier this month!) ---
