2006-04-08 3:16 PM Whee Went back to the ER today. I was feeling a little better, but not much, and worrying about flying home on Monday (since sitting causes excruciating pain, and I was already out of Darvocet). I got two shots, one directly into the muscle to make it relax, dammit. Whoo, these are the good drugs! I’m quite pleasantly loopy now.
In other news, I had a geeky birthday—Ken bought me a 60 gig iPod! Sleek black beautiful iPod. What a change from the ancient 5 gig I’ve been using. He also got me a 1 gig memory chip for my camera. Heh. Geek birthday. We’ve been watching movies, too. I Heart Huckabees (very strange!), Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle (pretty women, lots of action and silliness—perfect), and Intolerable Cruelty (a bit slower than I expected, but ultimately quite amusing). The Royal Tennenbaums is next in the queue. While Ken’s been at work, I’ve also been watching mindless TV and reading—I picked up two Nora Roberts (Divine Evil and Carnal Innocence) and Awaken Me Darkly by Gena Showalter (taglined as Buffy meets Alien Nation). All I’d brought with me to read was nonfiction for the workshop. (Trying not to think about the workshop, though. Sniff.) I kind of want to do some writing, but it still hurts to sit (although a lot less since the shots) and I don’t want to push things. Right. Spinning back over the to bed now. Just wanted to let ya’ll know I was still alive. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
