Writing Stats: My application for RWA PAN was accepted! Rejection from Brutarian for “The Rising.” No idea where to send it next—it’s 10K and all possible markets that I haven’t sent to yet are closed for subs right now. Grrr. Submitted “Storming the Castle” to Sex in Public. Exercise: Nope. Nada. Tomorrow, honest. Had a several-days headache, a nearly monthly occurrence, but this month it was shorter and pretty light, so yay there. I haven’t been posting much because life has fallen into that “Writing, work, general life” pattern that isn’t all that interesting. Really, not even to me. Tonight, however, we went to Pirates of the Caribbean in full pirate regalia! Arrr! We got pictures afterwards and I’ll post copies when I get them. The movie was a hilarious adventure ride—and hey, it’s Johnny Depp. I’ll forgive a lot for Johnny Depp. And awesome special effects, so good that I once again didn’t recognize Bill Nighy! Most amusing moment of the evening was during the credits, however. Almost the entire theatre got up and left. Hello? Do you not know how these movies work? There’s stuff at the end, idjits! Anyway, a group of teenagers stood up in front of us and failed to leave. One boy in particular was in my way. So I pulled my piratical gun out of my waistband and pointed it at him, at which point he turned around, saw me and the gun pointed at him, and sat down very quickly. Fear me, boy, for I am Wicked Red and I dispose of annoying gits like you without mercy. Arrr! ---
