This is encouraging.


Despite competition from two Major League Baseball playoff games, the 51.2 million total for the closing Bush-Kerry debate easily surpassed the audience for their second matchup last week, though it fell short of their first face-off, Nielsen Media Research reported on Thursday.

The Fox network broadcast of Game 2 of the American League Championship series between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees and Game 1 of the National League series between Houston and St. Louis. The two games combined averaged 15.2 million viewers, Nielsen said.


When people are more interested in watching two guys talk about govermental policy than baseball (or CSI, the top-rated show last week with 19 million viewers)...well, that's a good thing, isn't it?
