This is the place where we show you what’s hot and what’s not at this weekend’s state controlled cinemas. THESE ARE THE FILMS THAT HAVE BEEN CLEARED BY THE MINISTRY OF ARTS AND CULTURE FOR YOU TO SEE: the number one movie this weekend will be… 1. “Shrek 2” great reviews and a bounty of fans from the first film will easily place this blockbuster in the number one spot. And the rest will be… 2. “Troy”. Made over 45 million dollars in it’s first week and should hold strong in the number two spot. 3. “Van Helsing”. Them flying vampire brides is sooo cool, and should keep this movie in the third spot. 4. “Mean Girls”. High school comedy from all your talented friends at “Saturday Night Live” seems to be holding firm. 5. “Breakin’ All The Rules” well reviewed romantic comedy that got no push from it’s studio should hang around. 6. “Man On Fire”. Denzel Washington runs around for two hours looking for an extinguisher, and people are still paying to see it. 7. “13 Going on 30”. Jennifer Garner lights up the screen in the Tom Hanks role in this remake of 1984’s “Bachelor Party”. 8. “New York Minute” those cute little babies from “Full House”, the Olson Twins, are now oversexed 18 year old virgin- tramps- who are deflowered (again and again!) by Eugene Levy and Andy Richter, who are funny rapists, in this delightful family comedy. 9. “Kill Bill Vol. 2” The second half of Hillary Clinton’s autobiography is artfully interpreted for the screen by Quentin Tarentino. 10. “Home On The Range” comedy featuring Roseanne Barr with mad cow disease is still playing matinee’s, so parents who don’t give a damn about their kids can stick them in a movie while they shop for shoes.
