He was an intensly private man who led a public life and stayed true to his beliefs, dedicating himself to the rights of Native Americans and the environment, while downplaying the craft of acting and his own celebrity. Marlon Brando would not like the tributes that will be made in the coming days, but for movie fans and admirers of the craft of acting, it will be necessary. He was "the actor of his generation". Here is a photo of Tetiaroa (Atoll) the island paradise Marlon Brando owned and retreated to when the world proved too harsh. We hope he finds peace in paradise forever.
