This is BREAKING NEWS From ST! Here, from our New York World News Headquarters in New Jersey, is chief meteorologist, and senior fellow at Fellows and Gals University Dan Rather Center for Fictional Journalism: Connie Chung. CC: John Kerry has conceded the election of 2004 to President George W. Bush. In a speech, at 2 pm eastern time, a sad looking John Kerry, at times choking back tears, said he “wished it would have turned out differently”. 51 % of the popular vote for Bush, 49% for Kerry. Bush also has the electoral college numbers safely in hand. By any measure the President has received a popular mandate to serve for the first time. Bill Pullman joins me now. Bill how do the Democrats feel today? BP: Well Connie, in 2000 they felt robbed, in 2004 they feel beat, neither is a good feeling. CC: The President will make his victory speech at 3 pm eastern time. We will be back with that. See you soon. Stay with ST! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
