This is BREAKING NEWS From ST! Here, from our Northwest Broadcast Center is Jim Farris. JF: Good evening. Tonight, about 7:40 pm a 3.3 on the richter scale earthquake hit central Washington state. A rolling tumblor that did not seem to cause damage or casualties. This was followed, about five minutes later, by a giant green fire ball that was seen by thousands of people in Oregon and Washington, followed by what looked like a landing following by a large explosion. In the Seattle area this was followed by a blackout affecting about 75 per cent of the city. The large glowing light, blue and green flames spitting sparks, flew by at incredible speed acoording to dozens of people who saw the event, and disappeared without a trace. Scientists throughout the Pacifc Northwest are calling it a meteorite followed by a fireball. Some call it the size of the full moon, others say it was the size of a large trash can. Some say it fell into the ocean while other scientists say if collided with a mountain. Either way it's gone now with witnesses saying it was a spectacular sight. Scientists claim that the earthquake, meteorite, fireball, explosion, and blackout happening within moments of each other was a "coincidence" and could be chalked up to "a strange night". We will have a wrap up on this event as clarifications and explanations come in. Stay with ST. ST BREAKING NEWS Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
