Time Out
Eric and I actually went out *gasp* by ourselves today!!
It was hot. Hot like the sun. Seriously (eh, how would you know, you weren't in my apartment, where you?? nah, didn't think so). So instead from simply picking up and going to hang out at my parents house (ah sweet delicious nectar that is called "central air") we decided to leave Dylan with her doting grandparents and go see a movie. In the theater. Just the two of us. Like other people do.
After the initial, Holy Crap - we're out by ourselves for fun!! weirdness, I was able to actually enjoy the experience. And as it's been a looooong time since we've been out together (before Dylan was born. yes boys and girls, that's NINE MONTHS!!! I'm such a freak) it's been even longer since we were in a movie theater (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory if you must know. And that was a premier of it! So that was just about 1 year ago. Oy!)
Mind you, it wasn't a long time out but it was enough to make me realize that getting away can be a good good good thing for everyone involved. Yay!!
