Fall is defintely in the air today; a bit cooler, a bit dryer than it's been. Aside from the comfort factor, it's even more of a welcome change as fall, for me, has always represented new beginnings. And that's exactly where I am in my life right now.

Though I have always believed that things happen for a reason, that there is a purpose for every action, I have begun to question that belief. And I don't find that particular line of questioning to be either helpful or desired. Nor is sitting around waiting for life to hand me it's decision(s).

To that end, things start anew today. I can no longer sit idly by and let other people and events dictate my path or my happiness. I'm in control and I decide how to play the hand I've been dealt. And it's time to stop living in the past and future and concentrate on what's happening now.
