Ah well. I drove to Ikea and back this evening after work (they close at 9, and I got there at 8:40p--I knew I could make it) to pick up ONE MORE SHELF. Now four "Stripa" shelves-worth of our prize HeroClix(s?) will be displayed on the wall, all lovely-like. So everyone who enters our home will know what wondrous geeks we are. So nyeh. (Since I was there, I also picked up two inexpensive corner shelving units. Don't know where I'll put them yet, but they'll probably hold yet more HeroClix...) Ah yes. The girl wearing the Superman t-shirt is comfortable in her geekdom. Saving the world one click at a time, as my friend Dan-o would mock. Sean straightened some things today while I was at work, moving boxes of books upstairs and organizing things downstairs. I am fortunate in my choice of sweetie, I know. That and the fact that he's willing to drive me to work and back so the parking authority can't hound me has been invaluable lately. But I am now trying to decide what to do. I could be productive, by putting up the shelf I got and setting up a few things, or I could slack and read the Steampunk trade I picked up at work today (really nifty seeming Chris Bachalo story and art). Though, as right this moment I am being forced to listen to my neighbor having sex, pounding on the wall for a semi-legitimate purpose does have some appeal... (No worries, it's amusing rather than annoying--I like my neighbors :) You shall have to live with my indecision, dear reader, as I still haven't decided which I shall do, but sadly both require that I depart this space. Ta for now. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
