Mood: Sick |
2002-02-01 8:12 PM Summer's comin' and I'd like a review I just started a new position at my company this week.
I get to do the second most thankless job in a corporate type environment ever... Tech Writing. *grin* Only at my company, we can't call it "Tech Writing" because They eliminated the position to eliminate a person. Pretty twisted logic, if you ask me. Anyhoo, I get to be the "End-User Specialist" or some such non-sense. Basically I think it's one of those Dot-Com do-it-yourself titles that makes no sense to anyone outside the company. But I digress. Unfortunately, I haven't really hit the ground running, so to speak. I was out sick for the better part of the week. *sigh* So much for a sweep 'em off their feet first week. Next week should be better. I hope. [muse] I hated my job for so many weeks in a row... This is the first week in ages where I haven't been ducking my boss, or ducking some lame schmuck who's preventing me from doing something... I think I almost forgot how to be a productive little worker bee... Heh! [/muse] In other news, I just finished "Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates" by Tom Robbins. Very cool book. It took me awhile to get into it. I think one reason for this is that it was a rather heavy hard cover. *grin* I know, I know. Bad excuse. Anyway, Its a good book if you get the chance, go check it out. Hasta la pasta, folks! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
