Tip of the Iceburg You always say, bring you street-life, bring you real-life, that one man's desperate and mundane existance is another man's... techni-color. [[strange days]] |

Mood: well, some of them at least |
2002-05-14 11:15 AM i hate people I just heard about some really bad shit going down at my work. Details obfuscated to protect the innocent.
Lets see, we have persons A, B, and C. A works like a pack-horse. She is running around from the moment she gets here to the moment she leaves. Her hard work has been rewarded with only more hard work. B used to be her boss. B is nearly 15 years younger, has zero management training. It didn’t quite work out. But since our company is *so* fond of “yes” people, it happened. C is B and A’s boss. C is friendly with A and B, but C feels a certain kinship to B. For example, C gives B a glowing review on something that has been A’s responsibility for several months. C gives A the jobs that B doesn’t want or is not adept at doing. It could have something to do with a similar body image, but… This is WORK. That type of behavior needs to stay out of the office. Fucking hell. It just makes me ill. This whole place. I feel like everyone turns into some kind of weird backstabbing conniving asshole when the come through the front doors… either that or some bizarre snail, who just slimes around doing the bare minimum. The asshole’s just trying to get work done, no matter who gets in his way. And the snail is just trying to duck blame and responsibility. I mean, it makes logical sense… but it’s still lame. This place, I think, functions on the sole idea that you are a cog, you are replaceable, and that here, at least you’re getting paid. *sigh* it makes me want to boot*. *boot = throw up, lose one’s cookies, vomit, yak, spew… I think you get the picture.
