You always say, bring you street-life, bring you real-life, that one man's desperate and mundane existance is another man's... techni-color. [[strange days]]

brilliant in the morning...

this week has been a blur.

tuesday - i wandered around san francsico. went to the bookstore. i was looking for a copy of the orchid thief. but the border's down the street was sold out. *sigh* then went out to city college to see about this class that i'm interested in taking when the spring semester starts next week. fairly fruitless adventure... except for the fact that the last time i used the balboa park bart station dave still lived out there. i think that was a long frikking time ago. came back to the house and had some soup for lunch. hung around until brian got off work and met him at the gym. worked out. found out the week's bad news just after i finished, so i headed out to berkeley.

i'd love to share how the whole thing makes me feel, but whenever i try to put words around it... the images fade away. *sigh*

anyway. got up too early wednesday because of construction in the building. i think the floor right under mine. i stopped trying to go back to sleep at about 9. hung around my house all morning. called Stacey's to see about the orchid thief. score! went down to pick it up, then off to north beach to have lunch with brian. we ate at this yummy place called 'house of nanking', nanking sesame chicken and sizzling rice soup. it was heavy and my tummy wasn't too happy with me... but my taste buds did a happy dance. stopped to get some food for my snake, then home. fed kitten. (yes, that's the name of my snake. maybe i'll tell the story at some point but not now.) then headed off to berkeley.

[blur]

today. was awakened earlier than i would have liked. i guess that sort of happens when you don't sleep well. anyway. spent most of the day hanging around and reading. had some leftover chinese food for lunch. yay! rain! brian's friend gordon from college showed up. i headed out to berkeley around 4 or so. hiked up the hill to cloyne. picked up some clothes. headed back down towards downtown. had a topdog for dinner. hung out in starbucks and killed some time. went to the hospital. came home.

managed to finsh 'the orchid thief'. i actually wasn't all that impressed. i liked 'adaptation' and thus was inspired to check out the book... *shrug* as they say, if ya can't say something nice, then don't say nothing at all...

anyway, g'nite.
